I am thinking of buying a wagon. I was told that it is a 1950. Not even sure it is a wagon. It has the angled back window and a square back. My question is with the original drive train and no interior, how much does this car weigh? I am tring to decide on how to transport from the Kansas City area to the Phoenix area. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Mark.

Look at pictures on the net and you can figure out if it is a wagon or sedan. As far as the transport part, I have heard of people putting them in the back of long bed full size truck. At the same time, I would not do a whole car that way, maybe just the body. Any small utility trailer should work. Whom ever you are buying it from should be willing to measure the length to tell you how long of one you need. I would guess a little over 2000 pounds max on the weight. I also would suggest a dual axle trailer as they can usually handle highway speeds better than single axle, but that is just a matter of preference for me.

Thanks for the comments. I am thinking of buying it from car pool partner, for the cost of a tractor tire. He is planning on going back to MO. soon. then he will get the dimensions for me. I found another web site and the factory weight is about 1500 lbs. I did a rough calculation of the cost to drive out and tow it back vs. having it shipped. It would be within $100 of each other.

When I get the measurements I will decide if I can put another type of front suspension under it; mustang 2. What do you think?
